I'm working on a recording project (you can follow on Anchor, Cheap Flight), and find myself thinking about the litany of artists that have influenced my writing. It dawned on me that this is a journey I'd like to capture.

Epi 4 - Track and Field Part I (Another One Bites the Dust by Queen)
In this, Episode 4, I talk all about the masterpiece by Queen called Another One Bites the Dust, a song I first heard while on the field portion of a Track and Field event.

Tonal Recall Episode 1 - Don't Bring Me Down (Groos)
This is the first episode for Tonal Recall. The purpose is to highlight songs and artists in my listening experience to discover why I write the music I write. I heard "Don't Bring Me Down" when I was 9. I remember where I was and what I was doing. This song sounded like the future. And it has held up all this time, nearly 30 years later. Enjoy.

Episode 3 - Sidetrack for Sweet Pea
Here I am, only three episodes in, and taking liberties depart from my mission for this round to honor a great friend. Enjoy this tribute to Sweet Pea and a great track by Amos Lee with the same name.

Episode 2 - Foreplay/Long Time
In this 2nd episode of Tonal Recall, I (Lp) highlight the song (actually, musical piece and song) from the band Boston titled "Foreplay/Long Time." The 2:40 intro was written in 1969... yes, that means it turns 50 next year! And it moves me as much today as it did when I first experienced this piece. Listen in to find out how that happened.

Another LP Success
I’ve been following Lyndon’s music for years and everything he touches turns to gold. This podcast is no different. It’s raw. It feels like you’re sitting in a living room with Lyndon and talking about music lyrics. Brilliant. Highly recommend listening to this podcast.
