    Back From Hiatus

    Hellooooooo, This is This listeners!!!!
I am so sorry we went AWOL on you last January.  We had a tough year with some stunning losses and, tbh, not in any shape to podcast.  This Is This would have been us, sobbing.
Now we are back, right on time for a global pandemic.  WHAT?
In today's episode, we are catching up with you and starting a daily tradition of something sweet for the soul.
Glad to have you back!! We really have missed you!

The Arts May Save Our Spirits

    Truth and Freedom

    Truth and Freedom

We're in the second week of social distancing (i.e. not leaving home at all!) and today we were kind of bored.  There's a lull.  The doldrums.
What a fine time, during this void of activity, to think about what we feel and who we are!  Mr. Rogers thinks that truth will make us free!  What a rich gift this can be.

I Like To Take My Time, by Mr. Rogers

I Like To Take My Time, by Mr. Rogers

Today's reading from Mr. Rogers is about how it's okay to take your time.  One thing we all have right now, as we are practicing social isolation in our homes, is TIME.  How do you want to spend it?
What if, when this is all over, we come out to me more thoughtful and intentional with our lives?

Luzanneo ,

Very helpful

I logged on to learn more about spinal stroke which a dear friend was stricken with yesterday. When I found the podcast, I did not know that it was recorded in Charleston. My friend is likewise at MUSC so believe it made its way to me for good reason.

Although I appreciate everyone’s journey is unique, even having a vague sense of the general timeline has been a comfort. In addition, insight into some of what he may confront in therapy, mental health, chronic pain, etc will allow me to be a better friend during this challenge. I’ve also written down names of people like Amy are in case be gets to Roper and still works there.

Thank you for publishing this helpful information, Luzanne

I love and admire both Kristen and David and highly recommend listening to their heartbreaking and honest story as they navigate through Kirstens sudden medical ordeal together. It's a story of genuine strength, love and perseverance. They are truly an inspirational couple.
