I just had a conversation with someone who was frustrated at work. As usual, at the core of the issue was a breakdown in communication. If you’re a leader of people or if you’re in hot pursuit of a leadership position with your company or organization, this episode may help you get on the same page with everyone on your team, right out of the gate in 2019.

No matter how good or bad things are going in our own lives, we never look bad making somebody else look good.

Today we bring in PGA Tour Caddie, Matthew Olsen to the program. We’ll talk to him about his own story, how he’s had to not only battle through adversity to make it onto the tour, but now once in the groove of his career transition to Caddying, how he’s able to survive the up and down nature of PGA Tour golf. We’ll also ask him for insights into what goes on behind the scenes in big-time PGA Tour golf, how pro golfers prepare, what keeps them encouraged, and how they stay mentally tough through all the peaks and valleys tour life brings.

We'll all take away some applicable encouragement for our own ups and downs at work and at home.

Serena demanded an apology from the umpire and rules officials. We all owe her a big thank you. While I’m proud of her for sticking up for and being passionate about woman’s rights, I won’t go there. Back to School…womp, womp, womp.

But not really! On this episode, we talk about those feelings we used to have around this time of year when it was time to go back to school!

My wife and I recently went back home to KY, and I spent some time with my niece and nephew. Nora Jane is six and starting Kindergarten and Henry is nine, about to turn ten, and starting Fourth Grade. So, some conversations with them got me thinking.

So here we go…I’ll share some thoughts which picked me up and just might pick you or your team up.
