Truthpaste - Woodside, California Mountain Lion Habitat + I Was Once Amir Locke, But Lived
On this episode of Truthpaste I get into a strange story out of Woodside, California where the residents wanted to stop duplexes from being built. So they claimed the area a mountain lion habitat to stop the builds. Sounds like a creative way to redline folks.
Also, we're unfortunately back in Minnesota talking about "no-knock" warrants and the resulting death of Amir Locke. I share my own story of when I was 11 years old on the couch when the SWAT team came to my home.

Truthpaste - "How I Bought A Home In The Pandemic"
I recently became a homeowner, and it wouldn't have become possible without the help of Movement Mortgage loan officer Sondra Manjau. What probably felt like a two month process working with me to get myself ready to buy, but this process was a year long for me. Listen to the story of how I went from losing my job weeks before moving into a home, how I leveraged that into a home purchase, and how that purchase plays into financial plans of my family later on.
Ultimately, I want the take away to be that it's possible, even in a crazy market like Seattle, Washington. #Truthpaste, brush up!

Long story short: I've been gone dealing with a few things, so I thought I'd spend an hour and some change talking about what I've been doing the past two years away from the podcast.

On this episode I talk about an article I read discussing how depression in Black boys and boys of color shows up differently than your typical symptoms. I even talk about my own bout with depression and the struggles I had and still have with it. After that, apparently smuggling drugs in produce is the new trend happening and I finish with a story I think you’ll appreciate if the car I had for only 6 days. #BrushUp
