Insight into the researcher-volunteer relationship
This week, we spoke to Goodenough members Parinaaz Jalali and Adam Christianson. Adam recently took part in Parinaaz's research study looking at how the body responds to inflammation. Both members had interesting views to share about their experience in research and the dynamics of the researcher-volunteer relationship. Let's Talk About Sex
This week in preparation for the exciting upcoming "Sex Week" at Goodenough, I spoke to Tamar Geist, who co-heads up Queerenough - Goodenough's very own LGBTQ society. Tamar is a talented musician and active 3rd year member at GC who is doing her PhD in Music, investigating gender and the female voice with relation to music and singing.

Gender and Sexual Harassment - a conversation with Simran Kalra
Sexual harassment is ubiquitous and can be a very challenging topic to deal with. In this Podcast I interview Simran Kalra, who is currently doing her PHD on domestic violence in the UK. We discuss her background in India, her experience in London and Goodenough College, and her work in the Gender Chapter Society. The second half of the interview focuses on sexual harassment and the gendered nature of the conversation particularly around the response to an incident outside Goodenough several months ago.

HIV prevention is more complicated than you think!
Alex and Storm speak to Sociology PhD student, Adam Christianson about the synergistic effect of PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis). PrEP helps prevent the transmission of HIV infection - in other words; "birth control for HIV".
