The Money Date - Episode 7 - Bianca & Max

Our seventh episode features Bianca & Max, two techies who have come a long way with handling money in their relationship. Bianca & Max share real-talk on how their money conversation has evolved from the chaos of the early days to today. When they first met, Bianca and Max had approached their finances differently: Max's experience of the 2008 downturn turned him on to spreadsheets, where he kept a close eye on every dollar that came in and went out. Bianca, before she met Max, was spending money on stuff that didn't really make her happy. Tune in to listen to hear how they got on the same page about money.

Great concept

I love hearing how other couples handle their money.

Exactly what I needed!

I’ve been trying to start money dates with my husband for a few months now, and have felt overwhelmed with how to start. This podcast has given me much needed inspiration and motivation to start asking the tough questions about our finances.

Promising, but audio quality issues make it very difficult to listen

The content and premise of this podcast is great, but the execution is still really raw. Specifically there has been a lot of static, one interview was completely digitized for long enough that I thought my sound system was on the fritz, and the lack of volume balance meant I almost went deaf when the closing credits started. I hope that they’ll invest more in post-production because the couples they’ve talked to all shared really helpful stories. There’s a lot of good examples, and cautionary tales, around how to discuss and manage your finances as a couple.
