It Runs Deep
Kevin,
Living in Tucson, AZ, listening to DC sports podcasts is one of the only ways I’m able to stay connected to my hometown. That said, no other show makes me feel as connected as yours. The passion with which you speak (I know less so now) and the historical context that you provide, results in a pretty visceral listening experience for me. I’m only 28 years old, but I hold DC sports (the Redskins specifically) very dear to my heart. My grandfather did audio for the team back in the 70s and my father was a team photographer during the dream run, so there’s a family connection to the franchise that runs deep. You help ensure that I never forget why this means so much to my family. It’s the same for so many. With competent and good hearted people now in charge, we can hope again. We needed your voice in the bad times, and we’ll relish in it even more in the good times. Let’s just hope for a return to the old color scheme and a return to WFT…my father and grandfather would accept the name change at that point. Thanks for all you do.
Personally ashamed of the Kevin and Smoot dp
For there being not a single “Game of Thrones” reference during his last appearance??? Listened to the pod, not once…… but.. TWICE and was like.. MY GOD.. “SHAME”….. Any-hoo, counting the seconds until your top 25 most memorable skins’ games. Down 31-0 at home against Arizona in 98’ as an honorable mention??? #trentgreen#leslieshepard
Enjoy it but…
Stop repeating Washington FC. We get it
