Episode 258 - I Love You for Psychological Reasons
Moth Moroz returns to show after a long absence to talk about the Phone Power favorite "I Love You for Psychological Reasons." We ponder about the narrator of the song, examine the amazing rhyme schemes, and hear the Johns critique their own live performances.

Episode 256 - McCafferty's Bib

Episode 255 - Tiny Doctors
Tyler Colton of Goodbye Viking joins me to talk about a fan-favorite deep cut, "Tiny Doctors," which never even made it to the Dial-a-Song machine, finally being released on TMBG Unlimited. We ponder about how deep to read into the lyrics and whether this song should have been fleshed out and put on an album, and then we hear a crazy amount of covers for how obscure this song is.
-
Episode 254 - The Poisonousness
Gabby Crouch is our guest this week to talk about the Robin Goldwasser-lead track "The Poisonousness," the closing song for The Escape Team. We talk about the lovely Hand Witch, ask "where are the guitars?" and discuss the importance of "woo woos."

So great for a TMBG fan
Greg’s ability to connect with all of his cohosts is a gift. The commentary is fun, thoughtful, informative, spontaneous, and entertaining. I’m very interested in seeing his final scores at the end of the tour.
Fellowship of TMBG
Apart from my immediate family, life as a TMBG fan has been mostly a solitary pursuit. It’s like a breath of fresh air to have somehow even found my way here to this podcast. It’s a small miracle, really. Each day there are wee victories for this old school/pre-internet era gal, and this is one of them. I’m thankful for all the hard work and creative energy that is poured into the making of each episode. I have only listened to a few so far, but I am sincerely enjoying what I’m hearing. I’m glad to have found a landing pad to camp out on where my favorite band and their incredible body of work is debated and celebrated! This is not such a solitary pursuit after all. Not to put too fine a fine point on it, I am Thankful!
Best. Theme Song. Ever.
I have heard a lot of TMBG’s music videos, but that gave me a clear understanding of their theme song for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. #playhousedisneyera
