    Episode 49: Disney Anger

    Episode 49: Disney Anger

Well, it’s been a few months. Quite frankly, Disney’s recent political missteps have really given us a lot to think about. The two of us (Mike and Dave) make this little show because we love the history of the films and theme parks of Disney - but their involvement with funding politicians pushing discriminatory legislation made us wonder over the past few months about whether we could continue supporting them. In this pretty freewheeling episode, we talk through our feelings on the issue. We would love to hear your opinions: addmoremouse@gmail.com.

Episode 48: From Attraction to Film - The Jungle Cruise!

Episode 48: From Attraction to Film - The Jungle Cruise!

It’s your boys Dave and Mike returning to your ear holes with a new episode of The Add More Mouse podcast! We interrupt our Disney Documentaries miniseries to revisit and update one of earliest series that looked at Disney attractions that were made into movies. With the new Jungle Cruise film finally hitting Disney+ this month, we felt the need to dive in. We look at the Easter eggs that point to the longtime attraction, and we discuss our opinion on the movie’s ranking in the Disney attraction-to-film pantheon. We also try to unravel the ridiculously complicated plot of this film that is about a whole lot more than just cruising the jungle. Episode 47: Disney Docs #4 - The Sweatbox

Episode 47: Disney Docs #4 - The Sweatbox

This is a wild one, folks. Well, as wild as we get, anyway. This episode is the fourth installment of our “Disney Docs” series…as in “documentaries.” And this one truly lives up to its name: The Sweatbox. Only available as a bootleg on certain streaming sites, this documentary chronicles the making of The Emperor’s New Groove, starting at the very beginning when the cast, script, title, music and director were all completely different. But is there a good reason this movie remains unavailable on reputable streaming sites? Why does Disney not acknowledge its existence? Ahead of that we tackle some important things, like Bluey, Prop Culture, and Ohio weather. It wouldn’t be Add More Mouse if we didn’t spend time talking about the weather. Episode 46: Disney Docs 3 - Walt and El Grupo

Hello there! Dave and Mike are back to talk about the next film in their Disney Documentaries series: Walt and El Grupo! This film centers on the pivotal 1941 goodwill trip Walt Disney went on with a team of artists to gather info for animated films based in South America. Spoiler alert: it’s a delight! Before that, the gents talk way too long about how to acquire Disney toys from McDonald’s, the magic and wonder of the Disney+ cartoon Bluey, and Muppet Haunted Mansion.

Episode 45: Disney Docs #2 - Waking Sleeping Beauty

We’re back! More like “Waking Sleeping Podcast,” am I right? Eh? Anyways, we’re back with a new episode, sorry for the layoff. In this ep your boys are talking about the film Waking Sleeping Beauty, a documentary all about the Eisner/Katzenberg era of Disney parks and animation. Before we get to that we touch on a WHOLE BUNCH of Disney stuff - WDW 50th Anniversary things, the new nighttime shows HarmoniUS and Enchanted as well as the wild online reaction to them, Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser hotel, and how to spot Disney shills. We’re happy to be back and hope you dig it! Please review and subscribe! You can email the show at addmoremouse@gmail.com.

Episode 44: Disney Documentaries #1 - The Boys

Episode 44: Disney Documentaries #1 - The Boys

Woah! Did you think we forgot we had a podcast? We actually recorded a whole episode and it was unusable thanks to audio issues from a wonky cell phone, so we apologize for the delay. But here it is: the first episode of our Disney Documentaries miniseries, and we’re talking about The Boys, the film about The Disney company’s in-house songwriters The Sherman brothers. Mike and Dave discuss how difficult their relationship must have been, marvel at the sheer voluminous output of the brothers, and also wonder what might have been different if this documentary had not been made by the families of its subjects. Also, we actually discuss some Disney news and debate the ticket price attached to Disney’s long awaited “Star Wars hotel.” Come listen as the boys discuss The Boys! One of the boys

I love this cast. I feel like I could actually be in the room and just get right into the conversation. You can hear the love for Disney in their voice. I’m glad I found this one.

I’m hooked

Love the chatting. Love the topics. Love the nostalgia. Halfway through the first episode I listened to (which was #20-soemthing since I’m going backwards) I was immediately hooked. All other podcasts are on hold. I’m not even THAT big of a Disney fan, and these guys make me want to be. Entertaining all the way. Keep it up!

Fun podcast!

This podcast is always entertaining and funny! It’s nice to hear about some park attractions and Disney movies as well as some of the backstory. Love the nostalgia too!
