My former roommate and close friend/sister Stella sit down to chat. We talk about what it was like for her living with my family for almost 2 years. We also talk about race, and our experiences with navigating friendships with people who look different than you (cause she's a beautiful brown woman). Did we say everything right in this conversation? NO. But, that's the reality of how these conversations go. The important thing is to have them.  I hope this episode encourages you to PLEASE have these conversations with your loved ones, and especially your children. Most of all I hope it encourages you to make a friend or deepen a relationship with someone who looks different than you.

Kim is a mother & grandmother to many, and the director of Kids Club and Student Ministries at the church we attend. Kim is passionate about advocating for vulnerable children and inclusion. 1st podcast interview EVER, and 1st in this series "What I Wish I Would Have Known" with my friend Michelle Smith.
