We Must Be Honest In Our Walk With The Lord

We Must Be Honest In Our Walk With The Lord

We must be honest in our walk with the lord, and the contrary only leads to deception. To somehow make a god that suits our lifestyle would then be breaking the Commandment of "making a graven image". We would be rejecting the God of scripture and play The Potter and start to form a god that would accept your acts of sin as merely acts of pleasure.

Being Honest entails, we must Repent of things that God abhors.

things that God has said in His Word that we should avoid and take no part in.

True Repentance looks ugly and too often we make it look cute, but the end product doesn't sell.

in-fact, true repentance usually follows with someone who desires to pursue Christ.

while a false repentance would lead someone to no conviction and no change.

①. What Does it mean to repent?

    Turn away from Sin

    ⦁ Acts 3:19, Mark 1:15

19 So turn away from your sins. Turn to God. Then your sins will be wiped away. The time will come when the Lord will make everything new.

" Chained by the habit of sin" Billy Grahams

Act 17:30 "God commands all to people everywhere to repent"

Christians should welcome honest rebukes if that would mean that you have brothers who would keep you accountable in your walk with Jesus.

    Example: Galatians 2:11-21

    Paul Rebukes Peter at Antioch

Are Christians Called to be "Nominal"?

Are Christians Called to be "Nominal"?

Being Saved and walking with the Lord can feel mundane or monotonous if we don't challenge ourselves to live holy. So do we throw in the towel and live nominal, or do we live as Disciples?

Do You Have an Active Relationship With The Lord?

Do You Have an Active Relationship With The Lord?

An Active relationship with God is a struggle. One can believe that they are a Christian or living in obedience only because they are outwardly expressing Christian love or displaying some Christian practices yet Acts of Charity isn't the same as talking to the lord.  we aren't Christians because of any acts on our behalf. You're Missing the point! Christianity has never been about checking boxes. What's weighing you Down in your Talk with Jesus? What's getting in your way of having an honest conversation with your savior? I believe it's time you cut ties with certain practices and become honest with the Lord.

Question: How Has Your Faith Changed Your Day-to-day Life?

Question: How Has Your Faith Changed Your Day-to-day Life?

Am I alone in that I reflect on How God has brought me from death to life?

From a place where I focused on temporal and meaningless practices to having "Faith" lens and seeing things for what they are, God-intended.

From saving my soul from eternal death to changing my heart and progressively sanctifying me until His second coming (Phil 1:6).

The other side of the coin is, What if I haven't changed much? Thank God our walk with Jesus isn't performance based. We are not competing with anyone but we ought to be willing to allow the Holy Spirits Fruits be noticeable and allow it to bleed into all facets of our Social and Non-Social life. If we grieve the Spirit (Eph 4:29-32) or quench it (1 Thessa 5:19), we will be faced with a very questionable walk that that

    James 1:23-24

(23For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; 24for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.)

    “Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind” (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

Your sis, Jazmine.
