#27 - Karma and the Killjoys
Karma and the Killjoys is a piano-rock band based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Founding members Rain Scott-Catoire (Piano/Vocals/Writer), Sydni Myers (Vocals/Writer), and Sophia Brazda (Vocals/Writer) came together their freshman year as Theatre Performance majors at Louisiana State University in 2018 and began writing songs together. A culmination of catharsis, storytelling, and lots of harmonies, the music began its journey to become what it is today. Since then, the band has grown to include Thomas Vercher (Drums), Michael Blount (Guitar), and Tim Marchand (Bass) who launched the music into its exciting final form. Today, Karma and the Killjoys’ original music invokes flavors of alternative, folk, and rock, creating their own unique piano-rock sound. Customer Reviews
This is it, ya’ll!
I love the CDK pod. Chase is such a charismatic and captivating host. I’m typically all about the true crime pods but this one has been such a refreshing change of pace for me. He is warm and inviting, and quite hilarious, for lack of better words and it almost feels like I’m in the room with him and the guest he’s talking with that episode. By the end of each episode, I feel like I know that person on a personal level. I have loved learning so many different things about all of their professions, but the how’s and why’s of their journeys to get to where they are today are captivating and what really draws me in. Chase knows exactly the right questions to ask to make this podcast a standout from the rest. 10/10 would def recommend
