'The Naked Man' is a creative re-telling of the Gospel of Mark in the Bible, imagining what it might have been like to hear the stories of Jesus for the first time, and exploring the questions that those stories raise.

Quintessential Sean Gladding
Disclaimer: I have known Sean for many years and was one of his parishioners in Houston. This podcast is a great example of why I chose to frequent his services. It is a realistic explanation of Scripture through Jesus’s own favored medium: the story. I like starting my day with a podcast like this one.
Narrative and Exegetical - What a Combination
With both the historical insight and English accent of the venerable NT Wright, Sean manages to combine compelling narrative with well researched and exegetically serious insight to paint a picture of what it might have been like for a first century follower of Jesus. I feel as I am coming to know Mark not as a vague notion or even venerated disciple, but as a person. What Anne Rice does for vampires (and occasionally even Jesus), Sean does for Mark and the cast of characters who journey with him and the Messiah. All of this with no nudity, but the kind of intimacy that can only come through exposing one’s soul. You won’t regret the time invested here.
