A MUST Listen for Aspiring Screenwriters
I had been searching for podcasts tailored towards independent film-makers and Shoot From the Heart was EXACTLY what I was looking for and more!
Having recently completed a script, I was looking for tactical information on next best steps w/ it.
Her show delivered! With episodes on selling/optioning your script, self-producing, raising funds, etc, it’s a great resource.
Diane goes beyond the tactical - shares on mindset at as well. Which at first I thought, “I’m here for the practical episodes” but I’ve greatly enjoyed the other episodes as well.
Her tips on action scenes, helped me approach things more economically in my script.
If you’re a screenwriter, and want to learn from someone who wrote, sold, and even directed her own films, - and truly broke into Hollywood from the ground-floor, you’re in the right place.

Excellent, Helpful Advice and Inspiration
I found Diane on Instagram and began following her. The IG posts were always a source of wisdom and warmth. I was happy to find these podcasts. Downloaded a few and never listened. Just found them again this week and listened to an older pod from the start of the pandemic - about how it matters what you believe. Exactly what I needed to hear at the time. All helpful information and communicated beautifully. Very happy I found this.
