Carl Jung emphasized dream-work as a primary avenue for wholeness and integration, but this work begins with a very practical step - writing your dreams downs. The etymology of demon is rooted and connected to the word "divide." To live divided results in a variety of psychological and emotional symptoms - psychological splitting, complexes and dissociation, which can wreak havoc in our relationships to ourselves and others. Join Michael as he gives language and offers practical guidance for healing the divided self.

Our collective isolation, polarization and loneliness disconnect us from one another and from our internal landscape. Spiritual practices have fallen stale or diminished to a level that cannot contain or sustain our needs. We need a way to relate to that which is strange within - the parts of us exiled, angry and apathetic. Tools such as Internal Family System (IFS) and Active Imagination can support us as we listen and ask questions of our most hidden parts.

Carl Jung once wrote, “One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.” Many of us know the passage from Matthew 7:1-6 commanding the reader to "not judge" and "not see the plank in your neighbor's eye." But what we see in others may offer us a glimpse of what we've hidden and shadowed in ourselves. Our work is not to avoid our judgements, but to become aware of them. Join us as we explore an old passage, and investigate and integrate our shadow.

Is anyone going to church? What are we to do with a form that has both blessed and cursed us? No doubt, our current forms of church are dying and so there is temptation to toss the whole thing out. But what if we were able to remember the good, feel the pain of the bad and eulogize church? Perhaps our initiation extends even to our most foundational beliefs and assumptions. It may be that we need to mourn an old form of church so that we can fully enter into the possibility of transformation. 

Perhaps Jesus is not our savior but our initiator. Join us as we make room for our shadowed questions, name our longing for transformation, and discuss the Archetype of Initiation.
