The Chakras at a Glance:

“Chakra” is a Sanskrit word for wheel or disk and refers to the energy centers within our body. Traditionally there are seven chakras which run from the base of the spine up to the crown:



The crown chakra is located at the crown of the head. This chakra is the expression of the divine and our connection to all that is.

The third eye chakra is located between the brows. This chakra is the expression of the soul and our internal guidance system.

The throat chakra is located in the neck. This chakra is the expression of vibration for our divine speech and listening.

The heart chakra is located directly above the heart. This chakra is the expression of love and healing as it extends into the palms of our hands.

The solar plexus chakra is located just below the rib cage. This chakra is the expression of ego and self as we connect with those around us.

The sacral chakra is located just below the navel. This chakra is the expression of partnership, friendship and how we relate to others.

The root chakra is located at the base of the spine. This chakra is the expression of our tribe and our core beliefs about our place in the world and how we are provided for.
