So... Now What? (Enoch Series, Part 10)

This podcast is part of the Enoch Series. If listening in audio format, please note that the audio is taken directly from the videos.  The videos include a side-by-side comparison of texts which we think is really helpful to understand our point. If possible, we highly recommend you check out the videos or the book version of this series. They are all FREE and can be found on our website, www.ActsInitiative.com

The Apostle Jude quoted Enoch, but it’s a quote that we can’t find anywhere in our Bibles… and yet Jude called it prophecy.  Is it just me, or did you gloss over the significance of that your entire Christian life?

Jude was directly quoting The Book of Enoch, a work well-known and revered in Judaism and Christianity for thousands of years. But Jude wasn’t the only apostle to do this. Other apostles and Jesus Himself quoted it, too.  Did the early Christians actually think The Book of Enoch was Scripture? Would the apostles have been appalled to find it missing from our Protestant canon?

We will look at numerous places throughout the New Testament where the apostles and Jesus quoted or referenced The Book of Enoch, comparing passages side by side, and proving that the apostles most definitely knew and believed this book. We will discuss why the book was banned from Christianity as we know it, and how that came about. We will examine what Enoch said about Jesus Himself and discover that many of the things the apostles wrote about the character and Kingship of Jesus were prophesied by Enoch but not found anywhere else in the Old Testament – clearly the New Testament writers were familiar with Enoch's words. Lastly, we will look at historical and archaeological evidence that also corroborates certain narratives and stories documented in The Book of Enoch, showing the book's historical reliability and credibility.  If we can prove to you that the ancient Jews, the apostles, the early Church, and Jesus Himself held The Book of Enoch to be true prophecy, then who are you to ignore it?

ClosertoHim ,

Biblical truth…

I’m thankful for this series. It’s truth in plain sight, that has been ignored for far too long. I’ve been caught up in man’s traditions myself. Changes are coming for me.

you know this is truth teller ,

Truth!!!

I’ve known this all along and God showed me but everyone around me I’m Churches and believers would always fight me on it. I fell back into sin and caved into the once saved always saved idea and it left me in ruins. Now God is showing me everything, I appreciate you brother much love!!!
