The Flaming Sword Darin and Joel

Apologetics is the defense of the Christian faith. We discuss anything from why we believe what we believe, to Biblical Eschatology (study of end times), and more. The bible is the "Sword of the Spirit", so we're armed and ready!
Join us (and our occasional guest) for a fun (we love humor), enlightening Podcast, where we give the basics and also point you to deeper studies and resources. We
take God and His Word seriously; ourselves, not so much!

S2 Ep. 4 - Jesus came back already? -Part 3
Joel and Darin continue their series on what some consider a "heretical" view of Eschatology (study of the end times) in our normal fast paced, with a touch of humor way.
We've introduced the "Preterist" view doing a lot of discussion on "Time Statements" and "Audience Relevance". Here, we'll continue to build our case, that whatever the "last days" were, they happened back then. We start to get into "Apocalyptic language", and mention that events that happened in AD 70, were what the last days were pointing to.
Don't believe us? We'll try to change that...
This is Part 3 of a 9 part series, so hang on! The thumbnail isn't just "click bait", stay with us for the whole series, we'll prove it or at least get you to thinking.

Content Disclaimer: The Flaming Sword makes no blanket endorsement for every position or doctrine of the various resources we suggest or the guest we have on. We do stand behind our goal to teach "Christ Crucified," which from our perspective, means we will stand with others on the essentials and give grace and love on what we consider to be non essentials. We try to make sure our programming only consists of those who support the essential position of salvation through Christ alone. That being said, there may be other differences, such as in matters of Eschatology, or other positions generally along the lines of denominational stances, that we at The Flaming Sword may or may not particularly endorse.

S2 Ep. 3 - Jesus came back already? -Part 2
Joel and Darin continue their 2nd season on what some consider a "heretical" view of Eschatology (study of the end times) in our normal fast paced, with touch of humor way.

We introduce the "Preterist" view, but we're not going to stop there, even the atheist know what the bible says on this and sadly, most Christians have adopted a "were in the last days" view, which you cannot find anywhere in the Bible. Oh My!

S2 Ep. 1 - We've deconstructed (not really), atheism now, and more!
Joel and Darin are back for Season 2! We discuss "Christian Deconstruction", the new "smart" atheist, and our plans for this season - starting with our series on what some consider a "heretical" view of Eschatology (study of the end times), and maybe a little too much laughter, even for us!

Ep. 24- Colossians 3:5-17 Put off, put on, rinse, repeat!
Moving on in our study, we cover Colossians Chap 3:5-17, which is famous for its "put offs" and "put ons", making it an easy to remember and applicable discipline to the Christian life. Darin and Joel had fun with this one (of course when don't we have fun), hitting each point in our faced paced format and leading us up to our final Podcast next which includes "submission"-oh my!
