Everyone loves a good story. Join Catholic priest Fr. James Yamauchi every Wednesday for wholesome tales for the whole family.
Each short story is about someone you know, but we don’t tell you who until the end. If these stories sound a lot like Paul Harvey’s The Rest of the Story or Mike Rowe’s The Way I Heard It, that’s because both these shows have inspired That’s the Word.
Our true stories tend to reflect our interests, which include Christianity, history (especially American history), movies, and weather.

Love it!
This is so good and my family listens to it all the time
Fantastic
This podcast by Fr. James and his brother John Peter is done in the style of Paul Harvey’s “Now You Know the Rest of the Story” and is great. It has become a family favorite to listen to as we gather at the table for dinner. It is also done in such a way that it would be great to listen to during a commute, or at anytime, really.
The fun is trying to figure out who the main subject is before it is revealed at the end. We have figured out who on many of the episodes but also had some we did not know. That has been a fabulous way of expanding our knowledge. We look forward to new episodes each week.
We highly recommend this podcast.
