Hi, and welcome to 'talking off the liver', where I share about ordinary and extraordinary life in Switzerland.
My name ist Myrta. I am a Swiss graduate (Master of Arts in Religion, Economy and Politics) interested in religion and culture, which is what I mostly share about. Sometimes I have a guest, sometimes it's just me and you. In any case, it's a chill, conversational podcast.

“Oh, study of religion... So you want to become a priest?” – Introduction to religious studies
After telling people that I study religion, I am often asked if I want to become a priest – but one needs to study theology to become a priest, not religious studies. So in this episode I try to clarify the difference between these to disciplines and give a short introduction to religious studies. To give you an impression of topics that can be discussed within the study of religion, I go through classes I attended during my studies.
