On this episode, we will be talking to Brent Mauti. Brent is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Turner Fleischer Architects. He is a licensed architect in Ontario and Alberta who has focused on BIM throughout his career. Brent's passion is to focus on lifecycle BIM interoperability and cross-platform synergy. Brent is also a professor at George Brown College and Algonquin College.

Ian is an associate at Entuitive, a future oriented and technology driven Structural engineering company that adopted #BIM in its inception years. He has had significant involvement in a variety of commercial, residential, institutional, and educational buildings in the Canadian and Middle Eastern markets using BIM technologies, focusing especially on geometrically complex structures.
His depth of BIM experience and natural leadership ability allows him to regularly drive new ideas and is continually looked to as a unique problem solver.
He has also been involved in CanBIM from its founding years and has been actively advocating and facilitating the process of Digital Transformation in the #AEC industry.

Roddy is a Registered Architect in the province of Alberta and also a non-practicing Lawyer. After a glorious career at Stantec, in 2017 Roddy founded Holo-Blok, a company that is dedicated to fix the broken practices in Architecture and is leveraging Technology massively in doing so. His expertise in BIM and Integrated Project Delivery have allowed him to develop novel practices for project delivery. He aims to provide a product to owners that contain endless opportunities for post-occupancy goals.

Our guest is Yigit Karanfil. Yigit is a Design Technology Manager at HOK, where he actively works with clients and project teams to determine requirements and #buildtechnology workflows to deliver projects successfully. Also as an active member of CanBIM community, he has been working with Design and Engineering Think Tank since 2015. Yigit has experience with various healthcare, retail, mixed-use, transportation and industrial projects.

E215 - Generative Design- Harnessing the power of Information in BIM
Dennis has been involved with BIM and the corresponding software through research, analysis and discussion since 2003. His professional experience lends itself well to increasing efficiency in an office and improving on existing practices.
Possessing experience in multiple disciplines (Structural, MEP and Architectural), and having taught many companies in BIM and Visual programming for Revit, Dennis has led the firm’s move from a strictly AutoCAD shop to a BIM shop. Additionally, he has a strong background with contracts, proposals, and Zoning submissions (SPA, MV, etc.) and has worked heavily in Multi-Residential and Commercial as well as script generation/training/Project Coordination for many different types of projects. -
E216 - Information Exchange Standards - The Role BIM must play
Arash is the perfect combination of academic awareness and industry exposure and holds a Ph.D. in construction engineering and management technologies and co-founded the Building Innovation Research Centre at the University of Toronto.
He is an entrepreneur and innovator who co-founded AECO Innovation Lab in pursuit of engaging the immense talent in our academia to solve the problems of the #aecindustry. Through various initiatives like #OneOntario, he is to lead the digital transformation of #AEC industries and governments through collaborative R&D projects, innovative products, and expert consulting.
He was recently named as one of the Top 40 Under 40 in Canadian Construction for his innovative work. Also, he is continuously contributing to the industry serving as Research Chair of the Toronto BIM Community (tBIMc)) and is on the board of directors of buildingSMART Canada.
