På Fossil Rim Wildlife Center i Glen Rose, Texas kan man mata giraffer, gosa med getter och se varför centret är så framgångsrika när det gäller att åter introducera utrotningshotade djurarter i sin naturliga miljö. 1972 fanns det till exempel ingen Arabisk Oryx - antilop - som levde fritt i sin naturliga  miljö, men ett tiotal år senare, tack vare Fossil Rims arbete, kom djurarten tillbaka till Oman, och 2011 togs de helt bort från listan av utrotningshotade djurarter. Anläggningen har också spelat en oerhört viktig roll i bevarandet av Geparder. Jag berättar mer i min podcast.
