Please Cite Hong Kong’s Basic Law

I’ve only heard one episode so far (episode 4 ‘Two Paths’), and I thought it was captured the outcome of the National Security Law accurately. But unless I missed it, I think it would have been good for the podcast producers to cite Hong Kong’s Basic Law and it’s legally-enshrined promise of a ‘high degree of autonomy’ for Hong Kong, and contrast that law with, say, Regina Ip’s characterization (included in this episode) of a ‘high degree of autonomy’ for Hong Kong and Macau as merely a false argument from western leaders who she claims “distort” this idea “for political reasons”. (At the 30:20 mark of this episode) That argument is actually false: “a high degree of autonomy” for Hong Kong and Macau is actually written in the Basic Law.

Brave Police

The officers were bold and brave. These organisations that they infiltrated were and are dangerous woke nutters that threaten the very fabric of society. I’ve no sympathy for these women, currently represented by lunatic groups such as Just Stop Oil and Extinction Rebellion. The nudniks have to be stopped and the Met are the force of good against the evil that these women represent.

This woman is brave and honest, God bless and keep up the good work!
