S2 E13 [INTERVIEW]: Harmony, Energy & Influence with Feng Shui Master, Jillian Rothschild-Scholar

S2 E13 [INTERVIEW]: Harmony, Energy & Influence with Feng Shui Master, Jillian Rothschild-Scholar

On this episode of the So She Did Podcast, Kristin talks to Jillian Rothschild-Scholar,
    Feng Shui Master.

The episode opens with Kristin’s confession about recent stress she’s experienced from clutter and “house” stress. Jillian explains, “Your energy flows where your focus goes,” and says that clutter is actually a psychological issue.

While Feng Shui may include clearing the way for better energy flow in the home, it is so much more. It is a practice of Chinese metaphysics that helps us find balance, have space for positive energy, and helps us analyze Chinese astrology and our personal life path so that we are more in alignment.

Jillian introduces Kristin and listeners in this episode to some basic elements of Feng Shui and talks on a relatable and personal level about practical ways in which Feng Shui can help us all aspects of our lives.

Kristin recalls a moment she had earlier this year, in which she realized, “I’m bigger than the space I live in. I’m bigger than the earth on which I live. I’m just here having a human experience right now.”

Jillian offers a few practical, easy tips for listeners:
    1. The quickest way to shift energy is to clean it up in order to allow chi energy to better flow in a space.
    2. Make three piles to sort your things: keep it, trash/recycle/give it, box it.
    3. Put items into the “box it” pile that you’re unsure whether you want to keep. If you haven’t opened it in 6 months—toss it!
    4. Go to Jillian’s website to check out the FREE Mansions toolkit to get started identifying your own place in Chinese Metaphysics.

S2 E12: [INTERVIEW] 5 Types of Imposter Syndrome w/ Gail Meriel

S2 E12: [INTERVIEW] 5 Types of Imposter Syndrome w/ Gail Meriel

On this episode of the So She Did Podcast, Kristin talks with Project Manager and Award-Winning Professional Speaker and Author Gail Meriel, whose new book Inspiring Women Professionals Who BossUp: Learning the Ways of Women on the Rise Making an Impact is available on Amazon.
The two discuss the 5 different types of Imposter Syndrome and how they exhibit themselves in our lives:

Expert: Not matter how much you learn, it doesn’t seem to be enough to make you feel successful. This person might equate their self worth with titles.
Soloist: You feel inadequate if you have to ask for help. So, you often go it alone--and may just burn out.
Perfectionist: Set high goals for yourself and if you compare yourself to others. You push so hard toward perfection, that anything less feels like failure.
Gifted: You set high goals for yourself as well, but you believe that you should be able to get it right on the first try. If you don't, your self-esteem may take a big hit.
High Achiever: Push yourself harder and harder to the point of burn-out.

Kristin suggests that often people do not want to start something until they have ‘checked all of the boxes’ to get ready, but sometimes just starting is all that you need to do to be ready and that it is okay to learn on the job.

S2 E11: [INTERVIEW] Being the Author of Your Own Story w/ Santo Chiappetta

S2 E11: [INTERVIEW] Being the Author of Your Own Story w/ Santo Chiappetta

In this episode of the So She Did Podcast, Kristin is joined by Athleticism and Mindset coach, Santo Chiappetta. The episode begins with Santo sharing his early experiences in a boxing gym and how those began to shape his mindset and future goals.

Santo’s coach asked him: In a perfect world, what would your life be? He learned that by visualizing what he wanted, he was better able to set goals to achieve it.

The conversation continues as Kristin supports the idea of manifestation and visualization, but only as long as it is partnered with action.

The episode ends with further insight from Santo who says that for most of his clients, the biggest obstacle to their success is themselves, that the path is itself the goal, and that in most cases—done is better than perfect.

S2 E10 [INTERVIEW] Building a better mindset with pro-boxer Tyler Canning

S2 E10 [INTERVIEW] Building a better mindset with pro-boxer Tyler Canning

In this episode of the So She Did Podcast, Kristin is joined by professional boxer of HBO Boxing, Tyler Canning. Tyler discusses the abusive childhood that started him down the path toward destruction in his early years. He was always told that he would amount to nothing, and as a teenager he too believe that about himself. He landed in jail, but a boxing coach reached out to him, even while he was behind bars, to tell him that his future was not yet decided. He could change it. That is exactly what he did.

Tyler trained, and took his first ever plane ride to box on television from Rockefeller Center in New York. He learned that the same skills that led to boxing success could also lead to success in life.

Tyler tells listeners about his journey in this episode, and discusses how he now gives back through coaching.

S2 E9 [INTERVIEW] Learning How to Embrace it All with Deborah Driggs

S2 E9 [INTERVIEW] Learning How to Embrace it All with Deborah Driggs

Deborah Driggs appeared to have it all. She was on the cover of Playboy 3 times, Oprah invited her on the show, and she was in movies and on television. However, in her words, "I was miserable. I was using attention, relationships, and addiction to cover the wounds of my past. The harder and faster I ran from that pain–the more I ignored it, the better I felt. Or so I thought. I ended up broke and divorced with three young children."

Deborah learned that it wasn't what was on the outside that satisfied, but rather facing what was on the inside. In this in-depth interview, Deborah shares her story, her struggles and the way in which she is helping others now learn to embrace it all.
