    There will be a lot of feedback about this one, but Orillia City Council has decided to ban fireworks. Except for special occasions that are specifically approved by the council, they are pushing for other municipalities to do the same.

    approximately 160 people drown in Ontario every year and in most cases those deaths are avoidable. The Town of Bradford is making an effort to slow those numbers this year by hosting an April POOLS Day event this weekend to teach adults and children some critical lifesaving water skills.
