I Took a Hike - my new addiction!!
I just listened to Episode 1 of I Took a Hike and I was pleasantly surprised at how entertaining and informative it was to listen to and journey on the hike and life with you and your guest Alan Yung. The banter, stories, vulnerability and lessons discussed along the trail were both eye opening and amusing. I can’t wait to listen to episode 2. Keep on hiking!!

Very entertaining and lots of good thoughts
I can relate as I spent 19 years next to Ben and Kenny at CTI. I know first hand that all of Ben’s comments were true and from the heart.
The part that hit home the most was how Ben described his relationship with Kenny and how he referred to ego. I also feel that ego and envy for that matter are not helpful traits. If I had an ego I probably would have never gone to work at CTI. After three meetings with Ben’s partners and basically being offered the opportunity I was told there was one other “guy” I had to meet-Ben! Eighteen years younger than I the VP of Sales and my future boss. As an experienced and fairly successful Dir of Sales with two national companies how would this relationship work. Well I guess we can say the rest is history
As Ben related his relationship with Kenny we were often referred to as Batman and Robin. In all our time together we really never had a drag down argument and I was always treated with respect which was most appreciated. I truly loved going to work as we had tons of fun and laughs along the way and working with many people far younger than I kept me “forever young” as Dillon would say. It’s over five years since I “went fishing” and I would say we consider ourselves good friend and have shared many great times together with family members as well. I often think of Ben as the little brother I never had!
PS-success? Knowing that with the help of many others in business and of course my wife we were able to and continue to make a good life for our family, and basically have NO WANTS. Lastly I slept well at night as I and CTI with kudos to all the owners did it honestly and with high integrity while many of our competitors lied through their teeth to make a deal.
