Customer Reviews
Casual, yet witty discourse
Love this podcast so much. Feels like I’m sitting in a coffee shop Tolkien with my besties. Can’t recommend it more highly!
Basically like reading a book for the first time again
So, I’ve read the Hobbit a long time ago, but it’s wonderful to go back and listen to someone read it for the first time, as well as having someone who has read it before reread it. First, it encourages me to revisit an old favorite. Next, it provides additional insight. While what I take away from it is enough for me, hearing other people’s takes is just icing on the cake. I love it, and it allows me to explore different ideas during my reads. It’s also a way to read a book for the first time again by living vicariously through someone else.
Both of the podcasters(?) are wonderful and intelligent and a joy to listen to. Basically, it’s just a lot of fun. I’ve shared this out to friends, and will continue to do so.
