Miss Tweetie's Parents Margaret Dahlberg

- Kids & Family
Hi! I've been a music educator and composer for over 35 years and I have combined my vocations with my passion to talk about the quest to do better. I invite my community of parents and non-parents to chat about one of my favourite subjects. I like to invite my guests to speak freely and openly about their challenges around parenting, and encourage empathy and understanding amongst all of us. Let's face it, everyone has an opinion about how we can be better parents and most of us agree that it is one of the hardest jobs out there! In thanks for their vulnerability, I compose a song for each guest, presenting it at the end of the podcast. All songs are renamed, used as the episode title and released on all of the streaming sites, too. Want to be a part of it? Reach out for a chat! margaretdahlberg.com

Roots & Blossoms with Andrea
Send us a Text Message. This mother of two is a wonderful combination of an urban career woman and a farm girl. You can tell she comes from strong roots and that she knows exactly what her children need so they can blossom. So Andrea's curiosities are about her own sense of evolving and blossoming as her children grow into young adults.

Metamorphosis with Ben
Send us a Text Message.Ben & I talk about navigating divorce as well as supporting our children when there needs seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum. Many changes in our lives happen gradually but sometimes big things come along that create bigger shifts. Ben has been through a few but his son has also experienced his own metamorphosis which turned him into...

Hidden Gem with Sonia
Send us a Text Message.Sonia is a wealth of knowledge as a mother & a small business-woman - AND she is also a piano & early childhood teacher, just like me! So we have a lot to talk about. We worked hard to keep our conversation around universal subjects for parents, but we can't help but get a little into the music side of things as well. Look for her offerings of piano lessons & early-childhood music @fortemusicstudiocalgary.

Simply There with Corey
Send us a Text Message. My chat with Corey was so interesting. An artist and musician, he brings a simple and straightforward approach to parenting (and life). Plus, he has a particularly unique perspective as a father with thoughts on adoption as well as dealing with a brain injury. For painting parties or band rehearsal space, you can find him at https://www.paintitparties.com.

And So We Dance with Tasha
Send us a Text Message.Tasha is a well-known child psychologist in my sphere. It was such a pleasure to have her take off her professional hat and get to it about parenting. What a treat! This empty-nester likes to get right into it and so we did. We discussed that when struggling, particularly with grief, sometimes all we can do is lie in it. . . And, sometimes all we can do is. . . dance! If you are looking for family support, Tasha is a great resource. Find her at tashabelix.com

Enduring Kindness with Kara
Send us a Text Message. This mother of 3 children under 5 seems to take things in stride but remembers feeling a lot kinder before she had children. She has been an avid attendee of Music in Nature from the start. What a treat to get to sit down with her. Of course her kindness prevails! Kara is all about Enduring Kindness.
