Love makes all the difference!

Whether it's a home or a church you can have great facilities and prosperity, but when there is no love it amounts to nothing.

1 Corinthians reminds gifted people not to leave out love.

And yes, I brought some toys to church for this message :).

The Spirit-led church is a manifestation of God at work in the world as He empowers His people through spiritual gifts.
The cheap knock-off brands of the church are sanitized versions of idolatry where spiritual movement is nothing more than the manipulation of man.
How can you tell the difference? The answer begins in 1 Corinthians 12:1-3 as we become self-aware of our propensity toward idolatry.

If you are going to win at the game of life you can't be playing checkers if the game is really chess. 1 John 4:1-6 reveals game changing information about the way you approach every facet of life. In a world that is both physical and spiritual material solutions won't work. Change the game!

The Bible talks about being filled with the Spirit. What does that mean? How does it feel? What would one who is filled with the Spirit experience? If I'm not filled with the Spirit, how can I become so?

Everyone wants to be happy. God is concerned for your happiness. But happiness does not come by "getting" but by "becoming."

In Galatians 5:16-26 the Bible shows us how the Holy Spirit transforms our lives from the wasteland of centeredness to a virtuous walk with God.

If you knew you could invest in something that was guaranteed to make you wealthy you would do it. You wouldn't only do it, but you might even give up everything for it.

Jesus said that when a person realizes the worth of the Kingdom of Heaven that they would give up everything in this world to have it. And that's exactly what Paul did.

In Philippians 3 Paul talks about how he took a loss so that he may gain Christ. Paul did not just want to know the Easter story, he wanted to know the power of the resurrection.

To know Christ, Paul lost all the trappings of cultural religion that were once gain to him. Are you religious or do you know Christ? We can't know Christ like most of her fans know Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift has an amazing ability to pull people in close and make them believe they know her. Truth is, there are probably only a few people who really know her. In the same way, we can't be people who just know things about Jesus. We must truly know Him by having a relationship with the risen Son of God, Jesus Christ.

You can know Christ, but it will cost you. And it's worth it!
