Film Lovers Podcast is a podcast for lovers of film by lovers of film. Come listen in as co-hosts, David Ryan Andersson, Russell Dietrich, and Casey Summers discuss (and most likely rank) the high-brow and low-brow of all things cinematic. We can't say you'll like it, but we hope you'll "love" it.
We Love Guilty Pleasures
The Film Lovers are back just in time for Christmas with a listing of some of their favorite "guilty pleasures" (17:40). Subjectivity reigns supreme! Before that we discuss a young up-and-coming actor in Hollywood (8:49), and wrap things up discussing what we love in cinema (54:00). We hope you'll "jingle all the way" to the end of the episode, and tweet us some of your favorite guilty pleasures @filmloverspod.
We Love "Black Mirror: Bandersnatch"
[This Episode Contains Spoilers] The Film Lovers are back after an accidental hibernation with a deep dive into Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (23:50). Remember that amazing Netflix experiment from late 2018? Full disclosure: this episode isn't a flashback, it was actually recorded in January of 2019. Our editing intern just finished it, and we promptly fired them. But don't be mad. Be loving. Because we're film lovers! If that's not enough there's an exciting discussion on "mediums" (5:38), and at the end of the show, the Lovers all realize that they love (49:29) the Fyre Festival documentaries (another retro phenomena). Tweet us your recollections of these classic topics @filmloverspod.
We Love "Avengers: Endgame"
[This Episode Contains Spoilers] Join the Film Lovers as they do “whatever it takes” to discuss the final installment of an epic 22 film cinematic journey — Avengers: Endgame (15:22). Before that they do a deep conspiratorial dive into the ambiguous new trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (3:25), and speculate on the secret rivalry between RJ and JJ. It’s an episode for the ages! Looking to chime in? Tweet us at @filmloverspod with your insights.
Show Notes: Read the interview with Avengers: Endgame writers, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
We Love "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs"
[This Episode Contains Spoilers] Join the Film Lovers as they head out west on an existential expedition in search of "Netflix gold" and review the Coen Brothers' latest film "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs" (19:35). If you love Joel and Ethan Coen, you'll definitely be "in your element" for this one. We'd love to hear your thoughts on Buster Scruggs as well, please tweet us @filmloverspod with your views on the movie!

Love the pod. Tired of waiting.
Would be a 5 if they could be more CONSISTENT. Tired of listening to a 🔥 pod, but then not getting the next for another 10 weeks. It’s 2019, and I need my content NOW! Maybe you should invite that friend Mickey you keep referencing. Sounds like he’d keep you guys in line. Discuss.
