Very valuable information

I’m not a firearms instructor but I listened to every episode so far. I carry a firearm everyday and continue to acquire knowledge and skills. I found this podcast as a result of listening to the concealed carry podcast. The unique approach of this podcast is very valuable since it targets the instructors which looks at the firearms community from a different perspective. As a concealed carrier the info provided by this podcast is invaluable. The guest always share something that we don’t always hear from other podcasts. I also like that the episodes are on the shorter side so I can listen pretty much anytime I want. Keep the great content coming Rob and the great guests. Thanks so much!!!

Making the Change to Full-time Instructor

Have to say the episode I just finished with Matt Mallory was insightful.

I let my NRA Pistol Inst. Cert lapse, but considering I’m approaching 60 in six months am looking at “priming the pump” by instructing part time until I retire in 15 to 17 yrs. Matt’s info and attitude was great to hear.

The best parts for me were: 1. He removed obstacles. 2. He networked. 3. He diversified. 4. He remains a student.

I would have liked to hear what percentage of his income comes from teaching vs his store?

Congrats on a really good episode.

Become a better instructor regardless of discipline.

Disclaimer: I am not a firearms instructor, but do carry everyday. As a career firefighter and fire officer who trains firefighters in a variety of skill sets to include basic through technical rescues I have found a ton of value in listening to all these episodes.

I also run a training company for firefighters, industrial brigades and technical rescue teams and have shared these podcasts with my staff. From ways to teach, safety, importance of meeting the students needs to captive insurance - this podcast has applications to many fields and I truly enjoy listening to it. Thanks for the great work!!
