When Private Pain Becomes Politically Weaponized - with Michelle Black
Michelle Black is the widow of Staff Sergeant Bryan Black, one of the four Green Berets who died in Niger on October 4, 2017. The media reported the attack before the military informed her of her husband's death. Then bodycam footage of her husband's death was broadcast for the world to see - including Michelle, her two sons, her husband's parents, and the other family members of those killed alongside her husband. As if all of that was not difficult enough, the military also publicly denounced the actions of her husband's unit that day, implying that the Unit had "gone rogue" and had not been following orders.
In this episode of Flex Your freedom, Michelle shares her story as the widow of a man who, like so many others, gave his life in service of our country and its freedoms. Michelle put everything she learned into a book. That book, titled "Sacrifice- The Green Berets, a Fateful Ambush, and a Gold Star Wife's Fight For the Truth, is available now.

Abby Johnson, Mom and pro-life activist, on motherhood and the humanity behind abortion
We've long admired Abby Johnson for the courageous and authentic way she's navigated her transition from leading one of the busiest Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinics, to becoming one of the leading pro-life activists in this country.
Her newest book, Fierce Mercy, shines a spotlight on a side of the abortion industry not frequently considered by most of us; the humanity not only of the lives lost to abortion, but to the very people who staff those clinics. From the ways they wind up in that industry, to their struggles when they decide to follow Abby's example and leave, Abby works to offer support to those wishing to leave the industry.

The best pod you haven’t heard of (yet)
This podcast has been stacked with some amazing and BIG names guests even when it was American snippets. They do a great job allowing their guests to tell their stories in the framework of really why this country is worth fighting for. Great show every time and great content.
Listen and learn, about yourself.
I really enjoy American Snippets podcasts and everyone I have shared it with was surprised how much they can relate. The variety of perspectives, quality of guests and earnest conversations are excellent. They never waiver from the main idea and concept of their appreciation for our great country but they show different perspectives fairly and honestly. I look forward to each new podcast and growing my own perspectives through the inspiration of the hosts and guests. ~Five Star Recommendation~
These people were involved in the Jan. 6th insurrection, have used their facebook page to promote an alt-right militia, and want more religion in government - a thing the US was specifically founded to prevent. These two clowns are utterly disrespecting Mrs. Allen’s late husband’s service and sacrifice with every second this nonsense goes on. Barbara and I used to be very close, and I’ve watched her get into abusive relationship after abusive relationship. She even came to me to apologize after cutting me off while in one. She’s easily manipulated, and that’s no different with Dave. She’s also collecting a check from the VA as a death benefit for her late husband being killed in Iraq, and confessed to me that once that she and Dave are putting off their wedding to collect for a bit longer. Not only are they extremists, but they’re hypocrites. Which is typical of extremists, really.
