Love this Podcast
Thank you for a great podcast I listen to you and Kicking Bear on Native Opinion too. You all are amazing thank you for bringing things into the light that don’t often get discussed as they should. We have 3 gardens ( they are small) but we share our vegetables with our neighbors when we have extras and this past summer we posted them in groups on fb for free for anyone who was in need since I have known what true hunger was and the pains that come with it when I was younger. We even had a lady that came for veggies because their gardens didn’t do well this past summer and she brought us homemade jelly since they had a lot of it but not as much veggies. I’m hoping to have a better grow season this year and possibly have a little stand by our drive way for people to take what you need and if they would like to leave a donation or seeds so we can put it back to the gardens great if not it’s good too. I hope more people start to learn to grow and stay way from the pesticides and mess. There is a joy to growing and I’m hoping my kids will keep our garden times with them in their memories and hearts forever. It is different when you grow what you eat and don’t get it from a store. I also signed us up for foraging classes this spring as well. I know some from where I grew up but I am not super familiar with the plants where I am now. Thank you Mr Gray Owl for all you do. I’m still waiting to hear a list of the children’s books you write so I can get some for my kids :)
