Scot hosts Michelle Adams and Gary Blizzard to discuss education in this COVID age as the school year begins for many. Michelle is a trained educator and the Director of SonKids Christian School. Gary is an engineering professor at Texas A&M University and the elected President of the Magnolia ISD School Board.They discuss the administrative education decision-making, virtual vs. in-person learning, the effects of our current situation on the psychology of students, and much more.

Scot is joined by Dr. Paul Looney, MD. Their conversation focuses on suicide–its causes, warning signs, effects. Dr. Looney offers strategies for catching signs of suicidal ideation in friends and family, and he offers help to those struggling with those thoughts on their own. Dr. Paul Looney has been a practicing physician and psychiatrist for over twenty five years. Most of this time he has been in private practice, but has also worked in the prison system, on a university campus and as psychiatrist for the State of Texas. He practices psychiatry alongside a number of other Christian mental health providers at White Stone Associates which he founded in The Woodlands, TX. As Director and founder of Hidden Manna Ministries, he and his staff have been providing retreats and resources for marriage and spiritual growth for over 25 years. He serves as a teaching pastor at the Woodlands Church, where he oversees counseling and recovery ministries. Dr. Looney serves on the board of several non-profit organizations and provides care for other pastors in times of crisis.

Scot is joined by family therapist Dr. Dustin Ellis. They discuss the effects of the pandemic and quarantine on family dynamics, marriage, mental health, and more.
