Discovery Map International Meets with Franchise Interviews
We are meeting with Peter Hans. Since 2005, Peter Hans has been the president of Discovery Map International, the leading provider of curated guides to top tourist attractions in cities and towns throughout North America. The Waitsfield, Vermont-based franchisor has maps in 130 communities in North America and has 91 franchise owners. Peter began his career as an investment banker in Switzerland for six years and followed that with six more years in London. During that time, he traveled to almost every major European city and also to Australia, Asia, and South America.

McDonald's - Franchise Interviews Celebrates 15 Years Discussing McDonald's
We have a great show. Today, Franchise Interviews is celebrating our 15 year anniversary and we have a three-part show. First, we are meeting with distinguished members of the Purdue University Global Collegiate Entrepreneurs to discuss the movie called "The Founder"…The story of Ray Kroc, a salesman who turned two brothers' innovative fast food eatery, McDonald's, into the biggest restaurant business in the world, with a combination of ambition, persistence, and ruthlessness.
In part two, we will play a clip of our interview with Maureen Recalde, winner of the Voice of McDonald's. Voice of McDonald's is the largest global singing competition of its kind, open to the 1.8 million McDonald's restaurant employees around the world. More than 2,500 employees entered the inaugural competition. Maureen discusses her experience as the winner of the Voice and McDonald's and shares her story of her mom who has worked with McDonald's for over 40 years and today is an owner-operator of two McDonald's.
