Face mask and border openings in Europe
#108 - Many airlines will offer more flights again in the next few weeks. In order to protect crews and passengers, almost all passengers have to wear a mask. Depending on the airline, you have to keep the masks on all times during the flight. The only exception is eating and drinking.

Lufthansa Miles & More - COVID-19 goodwill
#107 - Lufthansa Miles & More just announced COVID-19 goodwill rules. At first the changes for 2021 are postponed by one year and will start in 2022. e-Voucher will be extended until end of 2021, but only if they would expire 2020.
Frequent Traveller, Senator or HON Circle with a status expiration 02/21 will get 1 yer extension. So you are keeping your status until 02/22. All the others get nothing until now. Maybe Lufthansa will reconsider.

Lufthansa Group Destinations in June
#106 - With over 106 German and European destinations as well as over 20 intercontinental destinations, the flight offer will expand significantly for all travelers by the end of June. The first readmissions will be implemented in the booking systems today, May 14, for the first half of June and can thus be booked.

Air travel prices after corona crises
#105 - China is ahead of us with the crises as they started flying again in the beginning of march. Wuhan airport opened 8th of April, so we do have some indications from there. Of course that is a look on the domestic flights as International flights are still rare.

Lufthansa tax haven - Eurowings and Brussels Airlines
#104 - Lufthansa was accused of using tax havens. The airline published a clarification, as this was getting a topic in the bail out negotiations with the German government. Eurowings will start flying soon and published the first destinations. Mostly Mallorca is the first destination for all the Eurowings Airports in Germany.
Brussels Airlines published their plan to survive the crises. 25% less staff and less aircraft basically.

Avianca in Chapter 11 - LifeMiles ticket a problem?
#103 - Avianca has filled for chapter 11in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. No idea why they did it in the US so. LifeMiles is a separate company, but where is the value of a program that is not attractive t customers.
They are 65 millions short and fail to pay. A bail out or other supports could not be secured.
