Technologies come and go.  Societal trends come and go.  New trends come in to take the place of the old.  All things eventually run their course and fade away.  I believe that we may be watching the end of an industry that has defined America for well over a century. 

Today we discuss the lack of media interest in a few recent shootings.  While the traditional reaction to any highly public gun violence has been wall to wall coverage, as of late the focus has very quickly shifted away from the incidents.  I have a theory on why this might be.

The NFL seasons has come to an end.  As we await the kickoff of the post season games, let us take a look back at the performance of the unsung officials in the league.  The NFL referees have certainly had a remarkable season.  Very few of the remarks that are being screamed at TVs are flattering, but they are remarks all the same.
