Ella Dykstra of St. Joseph High School Soccer is our WSJM Sports Player of the Week.

For the week, St. Joe went 3-0 with a 3-2 comeback win at Mattawan assisting on the game winning goal with 91 seconds left, a 3-1 win over Portage Northern where Ella had all three goals, including one on a PK, and an 8-0 over Niles where Ella had 2 goals and 2 assists.

Ella is a senior as St. Joseph High School where she has a 3.45 GPA,   She also participated in basketball this season.  After graduating from St. Joseph, Ella will attend and play soccer at the University of Kentucky in the SEC.

Cubs pull into a virtual first place tie with Brewers atop NL Central after beating Milwaukee 5-0.  Cubs home to face Padres at 7:40
Cleveland advances to round 2 of the NBA playoffs with Game 7 win over Orlando.
Vegas fails in defense of Stanley Cup, falls at Dallas 2-1 in Game 7.   Rangers begin round 2 with 4-3 win over Carolina
Midwest League Baseball scores
American Hockey League has Grand Rapids over Rockford 4-2 in game 4.  Griffins win series between Red Wings and Blackhawks affiliates 3-1.

NBA Playoffs, Pacers eliminate Milwaukee in 6 games with a 12-98 win.   Knicks eliminate Philadelphia also in  games 118-115.  Pacers and Knicks meet in round 2.
