"From Phenom to the Farm" is a bi-weekly series presented by Baseball America featuring interviews with former & current professional players that made the jump from high school directly to pro ball, and whose experiences vary across the professional baseball spectrum. Players will chronicle their personal experiences in transitioning from high school graduation directly into the life of a professional baseball player.
The competition jump, adjusting to life on their own for the first time, handling money, learning professionalism, and other various aspects that a player encounters on their journey through the farm system. They’ll look back and provide insight on what they could’ve done, if anything, to be more prepared for life as a teenage professional athlete, and their opinions on what organizations should be doing to get the most out of their high school signees.

Awesome podcast! If you love baseball then listen now
I’ve known Kyle for quite some time and I gotta admit that his ability to get these former players to be honest ability their experiences. As well as admit their faults which in turn made them better people is just amazing.
Really recommend this for people who want to know what the life is like for pro baseball players. As well as understand the behind scenes work that’s needed to be successful for both on and off the field.
Awesome Podcast Host. Mildly retarded Fantasy Football owner
Kyle has been up for the coveted “Lib of the Year” award since about 2012. He’s come close, but never won. Same with the coveted “Fantasy Football Champion” award. He’s a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan (also Lakers, Yankees, Duke Basketball, and Bama football) and was in the championship game. He lost. He started a rival QB, Jalen Hurts, over his favorite QB, Dak. He lost, and will probably never get back there again. Maybe he’ll take home Lib of the Year in 2022.
Great guy, terrible fantasy football owner
He once benched Dak for Jalen hurts and lost a fantasy playoff game.
