    The Great Jungle Journey VBS

    The Great Jungle Journey VBS

Join me on the Great Jungle Journey, a captivating exploration of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation! We begin with the majestic creation, where God crafted the heavens and the earth, filling it with wondrous creatures like Eden the parrot and Bliss the butterfly. God's creation was perfect until corruption entered through Adam and Eve's disobedience, bringing sin and separation from God. Despite humanity's continued rebellion, exemplified by the confusion at Babel, God’s plan for redemption remained steadfast.
Our journey leads us to the cross, where Jesus Christ, the sinless Savior, died to atone for our sins, offering salvation to all who believe. By admitting our sins, believing in Jesus's sacrifice, and receiving Him as Lord, we become children of God. This epic adventure concludes with the promise of consummation, where Christ will return to create a new heaven and earth, ending all suffering and death. Today, I invite you to respond to God’s call, embrace His love, and join this incredible journey of faith and salvation.

    It's OK to be Afraid

    It's OK to be Afraid

In Mark 14:32-42, we see Jesus face His darkest hour in the Garden of Gethsemane. On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus is overwhelmed with grief and distress, knowing the immense suffering He is about to endure. Despite His agony, Jesus models for us how to handle our own darkest moments. He falls to the ground in prayer, addressing God as "Abba, Father," and pleads for the cup of suffering to be taken away. Yet, He submits completely to God's will, saying, "Yet not what I will, but what You will."
This passage teaches us three critical lessons for our lives: to recognize God's sovereignty, to bring our deepest needs and fears to Him in prayer, and to submit to His will, trusting in His perfect plan. Just as Jesus did not let His grief paralyze Him, we too must take our troubles to God, knowing that He is faithful and will guide us through our darkest valleys. Today, we are reminded that in every trial, we have an invitation to lean on God's strength and wisdom, embracing His will for our ultimate good.

    Mother’s Day: Rejoice!

    Mother’s Day: Rejoice!

Today, on Mother's Day, we gather to celebrate and honor the irreplaceable role of mothers in our lives, recognizing them as a blessing bestowed by God. In the scripture, we find that motherhood is not just a role but a divine mission, reflecting the fruits of the Holy Spirit—kindness, love, joy, peace, and patience. These virtues are manifest in our lives through the relentless dedication and spiritual guidance of our mothers, shaping our paths and guiding us closer to living a life exemplified by Christ.
As we reflect on the influence and teachings of our mothers, let us remember that their role is a ministry of ongoing love and sacrifice. Motherhood extends beyond the confines of childhood; it is a lifelong commitment that mirrors the faithfulness of God Himself. Let us rejoice in the blessings mothers bring, recognizing their efforts in nurturing, teaching, and sacrificing for the spiritual and emotional growth of their children. On this special day, we are reminded of the unbreakable bond shared with our mothers, a testament to the eternal bond we hold with our Father in Heaven through Jesus Christ. Let us rejoice and be glad for the gift of motherhood—a profound ministry that enriches our lives and our faith.

    A New Covenant

    A New Covenant

In Mark 14, we explore the profound events of Jesus’ final week, leading up to the crucifixion. In this passage, we witness the poignant moment of Jesus being anointed in Bethany, a symbol of the sacrificial love soon to be fully realized at Calvary. As we delve into the text, we find ourselves at the Passover celebration, a time steeped in messianic expectation and historic remembrance. Here, Jesus institutes the Lord’s Supper, transforming the Passover meal into a commemoration of His soon-to-be-shed blood and broken body, heralding a new covenant not just for those seated with Him but for all of humanity.
In this sacred gathering, juxtaposed against the backdrop of betrayal, Jesus declares the stark reality of His imminent betrayal and the scattering of His disciples. This narrative isn't just a recount of history; it's an invitation to each of us to witness the fulfillment of God's redemptive plan through Jesus, the Lamb of God. As we reflect on these truths, let us prepare our hearts to both remember and receive the profound love and sacrifice of Jesus, ensuring that His life, death, and resurrection continue to transform us daily. Join me as we honor and remember, understanding more deeply the weight of what it means to be followers of Christ.

In Proverbs chapter three, we explore how the timeless wisdom of the scriptures can shape our families and strengthen our community. We are reminded of the vital importance of embedding God’s word deeply within our hearts and our homes, ensuring that obedience, love, and faithfulness are not just taught but demonstrated through our daily lives.
Today, we focus especially on our responsibilities as parents and mentors in nurturing the next generation. Trusting in the Lord with all our hearts, teaching kindness, and instilling a profound respect for God’s truth are paramount. We consider how to guide our children to not only navigate the complexities of life with wisdom but also to embrace a life of spiritual richness and purpose. Let’s renew our commitment to fostering a community where every child grows up knowing the joy and salvation that comes from a life devoted to Jesus. Let this message inspire and challenge you to reflect God’s love in every interaction within your families and beyond.
