Food security is not a topic we are talking about more often. Especially so in today's "post" covid world. Here in Singapore, with strong public and private funding support to get the country as self sufficient as possible lies a great number of opportunities to explore the topic.

Hope you enjoy the show. if you would like to come on the show, feel free to drop a message!

Episode 008 - conversation with Max Rye of Turtletree labs

Episode 008 - conversation with Max Rye of Turtletree labs

Today a very interesting conservation with Max Rye of Turtletree labs on the topic of cell-cultured milk.
Questions that were asked during the interview/conversation:

Who was the first to taste the product and how was it?

How does it work? (i.e. the science of cell cultured milk)

The price point that cell-cultured milk is aiming towards

Scaling up production towards infant milk formula market

Would there be a possibility in the future where consumers can “DIY” at home with a kit?

Are cell-cultured milk any different from “traditional” milk?

Will translation of your product into other languages be an issue for consumers and marketing?

Have you met with cultural conflicts or people just not accepting this concept?

What’s a day like for the scientist in Turtletree labs?

Episode 004 - Chat with Suzanne and recommendations for great food in Singapore

Episode 003 - Chat with Eugene Wang from Sophie's BioNutrients

Episode 003 - Chat with Eugene Wang from Sophie's BioNutrients

Had a great chat with co-founder of Sophie's BioNutrients, Eugene Wang

    https://sophiesbionutrients.com/
    https://www.linkedin.com/in/eugene-wang-2957b86

Today's conversation talks about what is Sophie's BioNutrients doing with micro algae.

We also talked about the cultural influence in "plant-based" food.

Processed (plant-based) meat may possibly feed the 95% of the world and possibly, micro algae (think, whey isolate, pea protein isolate, etc) could be the foundation of this new food.

Also the audio quality isn't top notch and there's rather visible humming of industrial machines (construction next door), sometimes podcast just do work 100% of the time.

All music you heard in the background today are all from anchor.fm , everything you need to record, edit and distribute your podcast.
