When a semi-sentient starship's crew dies, it must find a new one in a hurry. Earth is the closest planet with sentient life and the ship, which is rapidly losing its intelligence, picks five humans as the new crew.
Unfortunately, the five humans come from the Appalachian Mountains and while they are sentient, there's no guarantee that they're intelligent. What affect will these humans have on an unsuspecting galaxy?

A pantload of fun.
Me and Ma sure enjoyed this one! It was more fun than shootin' at all the critters than come crawling through our backyard I can tell you that!
Lack of Imagination
The story started off strong. I loved the characters and the development but then it went downhill fast. One Star Wars reference was cute and funny, two was doable but three, I stopped listening. The story had so much promise but the author got lazy or ran out of originality. I'm glad I didn't pay for it.
Okay, I made it to chapter 13!
Wow, really?!? It started out with way too many "dumb hick" cliches, then too many impossible, they have more thech so they can do the impossible, things, then turned into a complete rip off of star wars, complete with droid with a hidden message with "your my only hope" sent to OverJohn Wasabi!
Throw in a hillbilly that can magically fix anything even if it's alien technology and an orbital called "sin station" and you have a perfect example of a 10 year old creative writing project!
