Informative, interesting and fun podcast for gecko enthusiasts!
I've been listening to this podcast for months now and I am very grateful to Dave and his guests for all of the helpful information! Dave brings on guests that provide the kinds of tips and assistance you wish you had when you first started learning about geckos and their care.
Perhaps most importantly, Dave, through this podcast, is helping to build community--something that is really needed as the gecko hobby grows. It sounds strange maybe, but hearing Dave and his guests, especially the great Marcia McGuiness (who is almost a 'regular' thankfully!), is likely listening to old friends. I find this especially nice because none of my friends share my interest in geckos--so this is a great way to hear enthusiastic, and interesting people and what they're doing in this field!
The focus of the podcast is definitely on genetics and breeding, and I hope more time can be spent on care and husbandry. Many of the phone calls that people make fill in those gaps, though, so it remains a well-rounded show. Additionally, I would love to hear about gecko temperament, 'personality', taming, and training--some people have done some great work in these fields.
Again, a big thanks to Dave and all his guests for the huge amount of work and time he puts in--and for doing it regularly. In the podcast world, maintaining consistency, both in number of episodes and quality is rare--Dave, you're doing a great job--please keep it up!!
