Envy

Az irigység az egyik legaljasabb, legnehezebben kiirtható és egyben az egyik leggyakrabban előforduló gyengeségünk, ami könnyen eluralkodhat rajtunk és átveheti az irányítást az egész életünk felett. A Biblia nagyon sokat beszél róla, számtalan esetét látjuk mind az ószövetségben mind pedig az újszövetségben és mindig "zűrzavar és gonosz tettek" járnak a nyomában. Hogyan érhetjük tetten az irigységet az életünkben és legfőképpen: hogyan küzdhetünk ellene?

Envy is one of the meanest and most common weaknesses of ours that is the most difficult to eradicate and it can easily overcome us and take control of our whole lives. The Bible has much to say about it. We see many examples of it in both the Old and New Testament and it is always followed by "disorder and vile practices". How can we notice envy in our lives and most importantly: how can we fight against it?

The Life of Faith Isn't Lost, It Is Transformed

A keresztyén spiritualitás nem véletlenszerűen, hanem lényegéből adódóan kapcsolódik Jézus missziójának folytatásához. Jézus útjának hirdetése a kezdetektől fogva azt jelentette, hogy valaki jézusi módon él. A tanítványok saját személyükön keresztül folytatják Jézus misszióját. Isten országát hirdetni nem más, mint megtestesíteni az evangéliumot abban, ahogyan élünk, egyénileg és az egyház közösségében is. Mivel az Újszövetség spiritualitása 1. századi szövegekre épül, ez a kor tükröződik benne. Következésképpen a későbbi spirituális mozgalmak vagy hagyományok úgy utalnak a bibliai alapokra, hogy közben újraértelmezik azt egy másik, sajátos vallási és kulturális környezetben. A bibliai alapok szerint a keresztyén spiritualitás egyszerre mutatja meg, hogy élhetünk új életet Istenben, és hogyan gyakoroljuk a missziót Jézus útját követve Isten bennünk élő Lelkének erejével. Minden keresztyén spirituális hagyományban a hűséges Jézus-követés újszövetségi modellje jelenik meg újra, egy meghatározott korban és helyen.

Christian spirituality is connected to the continuation of Jesus's mission not by accident but by its very nature. From the very beginning, preaching the way of Jesus meant living like Jesus. The disciples continue Jesus's mission through their own being. Preaching the kingdom of God is nothing less than personifying the gospel by the way we live - both individually and corporately. Since the spirituality of the New Testament is built on 1st century texts, it reflects that era. Consequently, when later spiritual movements or traditions refer to the Biblical foundations, they redefine them in a different, unique religious and cultural environment. According to the Biblical foundations, Christian spirituality demonstrates both how we can live a new life in God and how we should practice missions following the way of Jesus by the power of the Spirit of God living in us. In every Christian spiritual tradition, the New Testament model of following Jesus appears again and again at a specific age and place.
