Increasing High-Quality Decisions at Warp Speed

Increasing High-Quality Decisions at Warp Speed

Many CEOs of established companies tell us that making high-quality decisions at warp speed requires a special skill set. But there’s also a lot of art in balancing the often competing needs of employees and other stakeholders.

In this Growth Igniters® Quick Take, we discuss the key to increasing high-quality decisions at warp speed. When the stakes are high, it’s tempting to assume everyone knows what’s happening, why it’s happening, and what needs to happen next. But as your company and stakeholders are changing faster than ever before, it can be a special challenge to stay in synch. Checking the accuracy of your assumptions even more often is the key to increasing high-quality decisions when the pressure is on.

For example, Scott and I discuss the story of what one CEO and C-suite team discovered about the impact of their assumptions as they led their company for dramatic transformation and growth.

One way to discover even more assumptions is by using our free strategic checklist, “Five Questions To Ask When You Need To Move Even Faster.”  We also discuss three particular times these questions can be especially impactful.

Increasing high-quality decisions at warp speed requires you to check assumptions even more often – Pam Harper

This week on Growth Igniters Radio:

    * The special challenge of making high-stakes decisions at warp speed

    * What one leadership team discovered about their assumptions and the impact it had on their decisions for growth

From CEO to CHO: Changing the Narrative on Leading a Happy Company

From CEO to CHO: Changing the Narrative on Leading a Happy Company

What does it mean to lead a happy company in the face of uncertainty ? And for that matter, whose happiness should we be most concerned with?  It’s time to change the narrative on leading a happy company.

In this episode. we speak with Edwin Edebiri, MBA, about the importance of CEOs taking on the role of  “Chief Happiness Officer” (CHO). Edwin is a TEDx speaker, entrepreneur, and coach who has dedicated much of his career to promoting happiness worldwide. He is the founder of the Happy Neighborhood Project and the I am Happy Project, which has over 70,000 members, across 64 cities in 19 countries.

By prioritizing happiness and well-being, he has helped people lead more fulfilling lives and inspired others to do the same. Edwin has been featured in a PBS documentary about happiness, and in 2014, his work on promoting happiness was recognized by the United Nations.
