    1000 Hours Outside Challenge

    1000 Hours Outside Challenge

This week, on Hanging with the Haizmans,  we talk about an exciting new challenge I have taken on this year - the 1,000 Hours Outside Challenge. That’s roughly 3 hours outside a day!
This challenge is going to really push me to make getting out of the house a priority. With my 2-year-old daughter, and baby number 2 due in the spring, I am determined to give it my best shot for my own mental health and for the overall wellbeing of my family.

Listen along as we discuss the hurdles we have already faced with the weather (right now in Illinois we are in the negatives!), and with the introduction of a new routine for our toddler (getting full winter gear on a 2-year-old every single day is not for the weak 🤪).

I would absolutely love for you and your family to do the challenge with me! For more information check out 1000hours.com

    52 Dates Challenge

    52 Dates Challenge

Have you heard of the five love languages?

If not, the basic concept is when it comes to relationships, we all have our preferred ways of giving and receiving love.

It's safe to say one of Alexander's love languages is quality time. This is something I am guilty of neglecting between working and being a mom. So, with the intention of carving out more time together, (and my love of a good challenge), I gifted him the 52 Dates challenge for 2024!

That means we will prioritize one date night every single week for the whole year! Listen along as we discuss why this means so much to us, keeping the dates unique, and how we envision sticking with it when baby #2 joins us in May!

Christmas Traditions; Is Santa Claus & Elf On the Shelf Right for Our Family?

The holiday season is a truly magical time. Especially when you have young children!

And with Christmas right around the corner, I've been getting increasing questions about how we plan to approach Santa or if we will do Elf on a Shelf with our 2-year-old daughter Adalynn.

Today, Alexander and I sit down for the first time to really discuss our opinions and ask each other some compelling questions. Discovering together what aligns best with our goals and values.

Love the new approach!

I find organization intimidating and this new relaxed approach makes it feel more doable. Thanks for being so vulnerable and sharing your experience.

Relatable & Honest

I am a recent follower to Jessica in the past year and continue to follow because of how genuine, relatable and honest she is about her life and the products she promotes. It’s a breath of fresh air!

So entitled

This lady has one kid and is now THE expert. I find her super irritating and whiney about like basic things that go on with a kid. She’s also extremely privileged and wealthy, and out of touch.
