Each of us will face persecution. Jesus told his disciples this exact thing in Matthew 10. His instructions following this warning were to live with out fear.

We are called to live fearlessly. Jesus tells us we do this by living boldly and with our eyes set on eternity.

Have you ever felt afraid? Not like a jump scare but full on, all out panic? The Prophet Isaiah received a word from God to not be afraid after receiving some news that was earth shattering.

God's instruction to him to not fear is the same instruction he gives to you and I today. This is not accomplished by relying on ourselves but by relying fully, wholly on him!

As we kick off this collection of sermons on the "do not fear" bible verses in the bible, we look at Jesus statement in John 14 that he was leaving peace with us.

Truthfully, we don't see a lot of peace in the world around us. The world doesn't have peace to offer us, we can only find true peace when we are surrendered to God's Holy Spirt living within us.

In our final week of More to Love, David takes us through the story of Mephibosheth in 2 Samuel 9 and encourages us to love with uncommon love.

Who are the people in your life who culture might say are unlovable? Who are the overlooked and forgotten? These are the very people that God has called us to love even when it's not comfortable.

In week 3 of our series More to Love, David leads us through John 13:31-35 and Jesus' command for us to love each other as he has loved us. While this directive may seem simple there is sacrifice and humility required for a life of loving others like Jesus.

This love that we show each other should be noticeable, for it is by this trait that Jesus said the world would know we are his followers.

In this week's message we look at the Apostle John's instructions to the church in 1 John 3:11-18. He tells us that though it isn't easy we must love one another!

For the Christian this is the testimony of what Jesus has done in us. If we can not love each other John says we are the same as murderers.

Love is also the motivation for our good deeds and acts of service. We serve not to feel good about ourselves or to be thought of highly but because we love others.
