Health-Ade Kombucha - From Farmer's Market to Fastest Growing The Story of a Brand

    • Entrepreneurship

For Vanessa Dew, Co-Founder & CSO at Health-Ade Kombucha being out of college and working a 9 to 5 job was just not fulfilling. So Vanessa and her eventual co-founders started an entrepreneur club who's first product was going to be a high-quality Hair Loss Mask, using the cultures derived from Kombucha. Eventually, they realized that the real business opportunity lay in the brewing of the delicious beverage soon to be known as Health-Ade Kombucha. So they each put in $800 and started selling the beverage in local Farmer's markets.

In part 1 of this episode, Vanessa shares her journey including How they first started the business, How three co-founders mixed personal and professional life to form a winning combination, Why she thinks that you should have a co-founder and Why some people aren't meant to be founders, Why people call her the "Eternal Proton", Why as an Asian American she felt pressure to NOT be an entrepreneur, and How a racist incident when she was young eventually forced her to come to terms with her identify and be a role model for other Asian Americans.

Join us while Ramon Vela interviews Vanessa Dew in Part 1 of this episode and hear her share the inside story of a brand.
