"My boss pulled me into his office the other day and asked if I wouldn’t mind putting off getting pregnant. At first, I thought he was joking. He said he needs my full attention for the next year because the company is going to be growing and undergoing some changes. He highlighted how he paid for me to get my Master's degree and for extra training. This led to me getting a promotion and more money. My husband says that we shouldn't wait. I kind of feel guilty having the baby because the company has invested so much in me. I wouldn't make the salary I do and enjoy the comfortable lifestyle I have without my boss believing in me. Another part of me is furious. How dare my boss ask me to place the company before my dream of having a baby. What would you do if you were me? Baby or business? Is this an unreasonable request by my boss?"

"I attend a local college for health professionals and met a few girls at the beginning of the term and we instantly became close friends. Some time into the second semester we had a falling out with one of the girls, but that’s not the worst part of the story. I find out from one of the other girls that this girl, who we had a falling out with, said she couldn’t come to my birthday party a few months prior cause she got called into work, but what actually happened was that she said “those aren’t my kind of people”…i’m black for context. There were 4 girls in this group, 3 remain and one of us is 100% black (me), one is mixed and one’s boyfriend is black….make this make sense….what are y’all’s thoughts? Did she play in my face acting like my friend of almost a year to benefit herself educationally?Side Note for Context)(I always made study guides and kahoots to help us with exams and she barely contributed which is why I say “she played my friend to benefit herself”). This girl doesn’t know I know this information but everyone who remains in the group does…I won’t tell her I know cause I want to protect my own peace PLUS none of us have talked to her since the falling out so why bring it up….just want opinions!!"

"My ex-in-laws are trashing me. They say I don't have enough nutritious food in the house for my 8 and 9 year old daughters. They also say I spend too much money on the three of us getting our hair, nails and spray tans done. I told them that looking good is just as important as eating good. They disagree. They say I should spend more time feeding my daughters good food rather than getting them personal makeovers. I disagree. I think the personal makeovers are important and beneficial for their mental health. Do you think there's anything wrong with what I'm doing by spending more on makeovers than food? Who cares if they eat McDonald's several extra times a week? I think mental health is just as important as physical health or in this case looks are just as important as food at their young age. What do you think? Whose side are you on?"

"I have a dating dilemma. I just ended my 17-year marriage and have started dating again. I met a great guy who my 13-year-old daughter can't stand. She's going through the start of her terrible teen years and hates everybody, not to mention she has a terrible attitude. She's asked me not to date my new guy. I'm torn about what to do. It's hard to meet a great guy so I would hate to break up with him. On the other hand, I want to respect my daughter's wishes. I'm thinking maybe it's time I do something for myself. Is having your child not like a potential partner a reason not to date them?"
