We know this and we learn this from Jesus' life and ministry. We have all experienced the same thing at one time or another in prayer. We prayed for something, and it seemed like God didn't answer our prayer. Unanswered prayer is the source of doubt, confusion, and despair for millions of people. Why is it that sometimes we pray and immediately our prayer is answered? But other times we pray, and nothing happens. How do we live in the tension between God's promises and our experience of unanswered prayer?
